In particular, it is planned to prepare for the second reading the draft law on amendments to the Law “On Advertising” (re bringing it in line with the European Convention on Transfrontier Television) (Reg. No. 0940).
The document suggests supplement the existing law by defining the term “TV-sale” (“a separate type of advertising that is broadcasted on TV and contains public offering to conclude sale and purchase agreement re the defined product”) and establish that TV-sale shall contain necessary, available and reliable audiovisual information about the suggested product.
The Committee shall also scrutinize in the second reading the bill on amendments to article 22 of Law “On Advertising” (re advertising of alcoholic beverages and bier) (Reg. No. 0946).
The bill suggests apply prohibitions stipulated by article 22 of the existing law regarding advertising of alcoholic beverages and tobacco products to advertising bier and beverages produced on its basis.
The Committee intends also to consider a number of bills within the procedure of their preparation for the second reading.
